I am interested in learning a bit more about the HostDime colo services and looking at the website there is not so much info.
Basically I would like a general price on a 2u setup. I see on the site 1u starts at $60 per month plus bandwidth. I can go 1u but a 2u setup allows for more HDDs which is why i am thinking of a 2u.
Can someone tell me what the different pricing options are for bandwidth? What is the setup that is used for existing VPS and shared servers?
When using the colo services what kind of support is offered? Can I still get someone to login and fix a broken WHM or Fantastico or will I go strait to the provider? I am guessing the latter but HostDime support is so exceptional the former could be a possible answer so I better ask to be sure.
I currently have a VPS and if I end up with my own server, will I be able to transfer the existing IP addresses to the new server? Are there any IP addresses included with the colo package or are they purchased on a per IP basis?
The hardware I have my seem a little antiquated by today's standards. I am looking at getting a dual Xeon 3.0Ghz with 4GB of ram and either 3x73gb or 6x73gb depending on the case. Is there an image Hostdime can provide if purchase of the one time cpanel license is verified? I am planning on running CentOS 5.x. I am asking since I don't know of the caveats fresh installs have vs existing HostDime dedicated server installs.
I know this is getting a little long winded but in the event of hardware failure ie one of the hard drives crash, how is that taken care of? Can I send along a few spare hard disks? or is it a wait and see then overnight the replacement hardware?
Okay, enough for now. I will think of more questions as these are answered but I can wait.

Brandon
